Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Account identity: your email (used as the credential for magic-link sign-in), and an optional display name and phone number provided either by you or by your tutoring centre.
• Study activity: every quiz attempt, every answer, and timing data for your attempts. We use this to compute your progress, diagnostic results, and (for centres) the roster view.
• Usage telemetry: anonymised performance traces from Vercel Analytics + Speed Insights when enabled; structured error logs to Sentry when an error occurs.

What we don't collect

• We never sell or rent personal data to third parties.
• We never use student data to train external AI models.
• We don't track you across sites; we don't run ad pixels.

Where data lives

Data is stored in our managed database (currently Supabase, US region). Backups are taken automatically by the platform. Encryption at rest and in transit (TLS) is enforced.

Centres and student data

When a tutoring centre purchases a seat and binds it to a student, that centre's operators can see the student's roster information and study progress for the course they purchased. Lodestar Prep acts as a data processor in this relationship; the centre is the data controller for their students' study data within their seat.

Children's data

Lodestar Prep is built for high-school-aged students. Where a student is under the local age of consent for data processing, the centre binding the seat or the parent self-enrolling is responsible for providing consent on the student's behalf. We do not knowingly collect data from students under 13 without verifiable parental consent.

• Request a copy of your data (email support — see below).
• Request deletion of your data (email support).
• Update your display name or phone in /settings/profile.
